Get Ready for FNCE 2017: 3 Things To Do Now To Be Prepared

In a little over one month, the Healthie team is heading to Chicago for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ annual Food and Nutrition Convention and Exhibition (FNCE)!

We had so much fun last year at our first FNCE conference, where telehealth and technology in nutrition practice took center-stage, that we’ve been looking forward to returning all year!

This year, the Healthie team is excited to meet many new faces and Healthie members in person, reveal our latest features and continue to promote more accessible nutrition care for individuals across the country.

Whether you’re heading to FNCE for the first time or you’re a seasoned vet, we can’t wait to see you there! To make the most of your time at FNCE 2017, here are three things you can do now to be prepared…

1. Give your business cards a boost

The networking opportunities at FNCE are endless! As such, be sure you have enough business cards to pack so you don’t miss out on an opportunity for collaboration. If you’re designing business cards for the first time, be sure to check out our guide to ensure you include all vital info, such as your social media links.

It’s also a great idea to practice your elevator pitch prior to the conference. An elevator pitch is a 30-second description of you, your services and niche. You will meet brands, other dietitians, and a plethora of referral sources at FNCE, so practicing your pitch will make for perfect opportunities by the end of the conference!

2. Make a plan

There are dozens of presentations, handfuls of networking events, and of course the Expo that you may want to visit during FNCE, so having a plan before arriving in Chicago is a great idea to stay focused.

We suggest printing out the program, making a list of contacts you want to speak with, and even setting up several meetings prior to the conference to ensure you’re organized for success!

3. Get Healthie!

Stay in touch with your clients while you’re at the conference by getting Healthie! Healthie’s mobile-friendly app lets you remain in close communication with your clientele while you’re enhancing your professional education.
