Up-Selling the Value of Healthie

Today, we’re discussing how to utilize the Healthie platform to both best help your clients make the most out of its features as well as showing how Healthie can function as a service feature that will add direct value to your private practice. We’ll be going through a few of our features on the platform and offer suggestions to how Healthie may be most practical and beneficial to your practice.

Client App

We have found that many of the dietitians in our community not only use Healthie for scheduling, billing, and HIPAA- compliant video conferencing, but also market the client app as an additional service with a charge for between session check-in. Many dietitians using Healthie will create a Concierge Package that enables their client to use the Healthie app and pay for that additional care and support the app provides. This way Healthie pays for itself with just a few clients using the platform.

The Healthie Platform is also an invaluable resource for clients. It encourages mindful-eating habits with regular self-monitoring that is essential for clients working to make major behavior changes. We encourage providers to set expectations early when it comes to how much feedback and engagement their client should expect on the client app. Noting that you as the provider intend to check it once a day, every other day, or once a week can go a long way to help your client make the most of this experience.

The Message Feature

We have met dietitians who have for a small fee sent out daily (or weekly) motivational and inspirational messages. Now with Healthie, that same service can be done through our HIPAA-compliant platform on with a Message Blast. This Healthie feature protects client identity, so all you need to do is select on a list which clients you would like to receive this motivational blast, type out your message, (and even add a photo if you’d like!) and hit “Send”.

The Telehealth Option

If your practice has not yet integrated telehealth, you may be an excellent candidate to offer quick, video-conferencing sessions in the longer stretches between appointments to help your clients keep on track. A short and easy video-conferencing session can be priced as a type of follow-up appointment and may offer the convenience and ease that your client will need.
